Omg YES!! Thank you for this article!! There is such a lack of awareness about what it means to be ADHD. The DSM refusing to acknowledge our main symptoms really doesnt help matters! I think almost all my articles refer to this at some point

I can’t even imagine! What do you find most challenging on a shift with inattentive ADHD?

Charting is a nightmare. I pretty much forget details after an hour, so charting has to happen in real-time.

This is eye-opening for someone who patented an ADHD child. He was misdiagnosed for years and when he was properly diagnosed, he HATED how medication made him feel so he didn't take it.

And you're right about the hyper-focus part. In my son's case it was creating music.

Thanks for sharing this info. All of it is hindsight for me but still interesting.

I still struggle with hyper-focus myself, sometimes spending hours and days researching and starting a new hobby, only to lose interest eventually, which can create some guilt.
